Founded to Serve
Andrews Federal was founded upon an enduring commitment to support military service members. For more than 75 years since our founding in 1948, Andrews Federal has remained steadfast in our mission of supporting those who defend our nation's freedoms. While we have expanded our member base to include others outside the military, we continue to prioritize providing low-cost, high-value financial products and services to our military service members and their families.

Giving Back to Our Military Communities
In addition to our comprehensive financial products and services, Andrews Federal also supports the military community through educational initiatives. We proudly provide financial education programs to military service members on the bases we serve. We also provide members access to free financial counseling if they are struggling to deal with unexpected challenges.
And on the military bases we serve, we continue to build strong connections, sponsoring events and providing resources that make it possible for military service members to connect, learn and do more. For example, last year, a few of the many military projects we supported included:
- Building sidewalk libraries to enhance literacy programs at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling
- Adopting classrooms on several military bases
- Sponsoring the Wiesbaden Freedom Run
- Connecting with military service members through our sponsorship of MWR events
As a confirmation of Andrews Federal’s commitment to the military, the Department of the Army named our credit union a Distinguished Credit Union of the Year for our commitment to serving our overseas members.
